Students recently had the privilege of experiencing a technology workshop with former Bournemouth School student and engineer with Dyson, Aleks Rogers.
Aleks kindly took two days from his busy schedule to spend time speaking with year 8 students who have opted to study technology at GCSE, as well explaining Dyson’s degree apprenticeship programme to students in years 9 and 10.
During these fascinating sessions, Aleks explained how ideas are transformed into products and allowed students to come up with their own improvement suggestions for a range of products. This was followed by the opportunity to inspect a variety of Dyson products and the technology behind them, inspiring students to future careers in engineering.
We are grateful to Aleks; all former pupils are welcome to visit and inspire us!
