Information
We invite you to participate in our Lottery, formed as a continuing means of raising funds for the benefit of students at Bournemouth School.  The Lottery is open to all parents / guardians, staff, ex-students and current students over the age of 16.
Every month, each £1 unit you hold has the chance to win a share of the total money in that month’s draw.  Three numbers are drawn and the winners each receive one third of half of the total monetary value of the monthly units participating in that month’s Lottery draw. For example, out of a total 600 x £1 units, 3 lucky winners would receive £100 each.
We greatly appreciate this valuable contribution to fundraising which is of immense benefit to pupils and school departments. Your Lottery fundraising has contributed towards 2 school minibuses and refurbished an IT suite. Each department has the opportunity to receive funding and you’ll be updated on current projects through our Newsletter.

To participate, just complete the Subscription Form below, entering your name, address, email and the monthly payment amount you wish to make. We will allocate your Lottery numbers from this so please do not forget to set up your monthly payment with your bank. Please note that, in order to send you a ‘winner’s cheque’, we will keep your name and address for as long as you participate in the Lottery.

Lottery rules

  • Lottery participation is available only to Bournemouth School Parents / Guardians and Relatives, Staff, Governors, Ex-Partners, Pupils and Ex-Pupils over the age of 16 years.
  • Lottery units are available to each participant at £1 per monthly unit. Up to 15 units may be held by any one participant.
  • In order to participate, the Subscription Form must be completed and the monetary amount shown on that form will be equal to the number of £1 monthly units the participant wishes to enter.
  • The completion and return of the Subscription Form binds the participant to abide by the rules.
  • Bank payments should be made each month and should any payment not be received, the participant will be excluded from the monthly draw for which that payment applied.
  • A Lottery draw is held each term so for example a draw held in July will typically select twelve winners in total for April, May, June and July. Lottery numbers will be drawn by pupils or the Head of School, and one other member of staff.
  • The winners shall be determined by the first three numbers drawn and the winners will each receive one third of half of the total monetary value of the monthly units participating in that month’s Lottery draw.
  • Winners shall be notified in writing and payment will be made by cheque. Names of monthly winners together with their ticket numbers and amount of prize money allocated will be displayed on the website.
  • In the event of a winning cheque not having been cashed after a 12 month period, or the administrator being unable to contact a winner after 12 months, the prize money will be re-allocated to the school.
