The annual Senior Prefect application cycle is a three month process in which students apply for the positions of School Captain, Deputy School Captain and House Captains. The process culminates in a Dragons’ Den-style task, in which students are invited to present on a chosen topic within their house team. This year, their topic was the house charity week: students were asked to choose a charity to support and plan a week of activities associated with it. The chosen charities should have been related in some way to the school or local community.
Students presented very interesting and well-researched presentations, outlining how their version of charity week would look. It is clear that all teams worked really hard on this, and the judging panel (of “Dragons”), enjoyed the morning immensely.
The successful students – who will be awarded the positions of School Captain, Deputy School Captain and House Captains – will be announced later this week.
